Virtual Coffee

It's time for another coffee date (or in my case water.) It really is getting easier to drink water and when I'm not I drink pink lemonade, which now seems like an extra special treat.

It was another beautiful day here, sunny and unseasonably warm. We had an afternoon thunderstorm, with plenty of rain. It cooled things down quite nicely.

John has been off the past two days and we've enjoyed the time together. We've been to the park, enjoyed sitting out on the patio, watched Paris When it Sizzles, and just talked. It's been pretty wonderful. I feel very blessed to be married to my best friend.

Lately, I've been working on things to make life easier around the house. I guess with the baby on the way, it's got me thinking even more on that stuff. (This is part of why I have a schedule for my blog now, among other things.) I have lists in my mind of all the things that I want to do to get everything squared away. If only I had the time an energy to do it all at once! (This also reminds me that I need to work on my baby registries and talk to John about setting a date for my Georgia baby shower.)

Along with work around the house, John and I have been discussing our budget. (Fun stuff I know!) It wasn't too painful a conversation! It's nice to be on the same page about things. John was even able to lower his student loan payments which will be a huge sigh of relief for us each month.

So as I'm working on our grocery list, I have to share with you this nifty pin.

These are pre-made salads in mason jars. How cool is that?! This will definitely make our grocery list. I love salads and the idea of having them waiting for me in the fridge just makes me happy. :) The blog also shares various types of salads, including a fruit salad. So this can be a very creative way to get your fruits and veggies in.

The rest of the week will include packing and a bit of shopping before we head to Virginia on Friday. It will be a busy weekend, but we look forward to seeing family. :)

Sorry for the lack of pictures this time. I promise to do better next time! Hope you all are having a great week!

Virtual Coffee

Hi guys!

This week I've been working on increasing my water intake. I have never been a big water drinker (sad I know), but I've been improving. So that's my drink of choice today. Everyone's tasty coffee pics are making me jealous! lol

For some reason, drinking from this water bottle helps me to do better with my water intake.

The weather has been mostly sunny and the pollen count is still high here. I'm happy for all the flowers and all, but my nose and ears are not. ;) The good news is I'm planning to get some pretty flowers to put out on our patio. I'm not completely anti-spring. I just wish it didn't hate me so!

Saturday:

I found out I won Day 4 of The St. Patty's Day Giveaways with Katherine at http://anirishitalianblessing.blogspot.com/ I am so I excited I never win anything! lol  Go here to check out the super cute stuff I won and to also check out the awesome sponsors.

I also got a dress for the wedding. I hope it will fit. I got a bigger size, but it's a little snug on my stomach. Say a prayer that it fits the 24th!

I think it actually looks better on a person, as opposed to the hanger.  I think it has a very artistic vibe, reminds me of Monet. (My favorite painter)

Sunday:

I got a much needed haircut. It was just a trim and some layers, but with my thick hair it did wonders!

I did a close up pic, because I'm in my pjs...lol.
(Notice the Monet print in the background)

Today I also received my Get Lucky Swap gifts. (For those out of the loop, Cami and I hosted a St. Patty's Day Swap.) Stay tuned for a special post on that on Friday. :)

This week my sister, Brandi is visiting. It's been nice having her here, especially this week since John has had to work much of it.

Tomorrow I have a check-up. It should be my last weekly appointment, and I should be just going once a month until closer to the end. I'm happy about that and I know our wallet will be too. ;)

Well I guess that's all for this week!  Hope you all are having a great week!

Virtual Coffee

It's time for coffee or in my case Cheerwine. (Yep, I'm having a little caffeine today. If I could find caffeine free Cheerwine I would be set! So far no luck!)

It's a beautiful, partly cloudy day here. The pollen level is high, which is unfortunate for me and my husband. Darn allergies!

So it's been a pretty good week so far. This is a good week for John because he has most of it off. Next week will be his mostly work week, but it all balances itself out. John has this weekend off, so we will enjoy that time.

One to-do for the weekend is to find a dress for Michael's wedding (my brother-in-law). I hope I can find something nice, but not too expensive. The good thing is I'm not too far along, so I should just be able to get a size or two bigger, whatever I end up needing. Wish me luck!

I finally finished reading The Hunger Games. I know I took forever! I'm hoping to do better with Catching Fire. I can't wait for March 23rd!

Last night, John and I caught up on The Voice. Is anyone else watching? It was pretty awesome. I was pleased that all, but two of my choices made it on to the final six. I have a slight crush on Mr. Opera man. ;)

Check out his blind audition, what do you think?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7Lfc5aiW20

Anybody need a refill? Coffee? Cheerwine? ;)

John and I also made vacation plans last night. We have the whole year planned out, because John's boss wanted everyone to get their vacation stuff in asap. We are pretty pleased with our plans. We are planning a trip to the Shenandoah Valley area of Va the end of next month. And John has some time off the week of my birthday that we have open right now. This is one of the perks of his job. All of that and we still have the maternity time we need. Yay! I love to travel and I always enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband.

I guess that's all for this week! I hope you all are having a great week!

Virtual Coffee

So today I'm actually up when the sun is. It's weird, but I'm enjoying it. So I guess I've always been more of a night person/night owl. I've never been a morning person and there are clearly only two things good about being up at an early hour: Coffee and hearing the birds singing. Or at least that's how I feel about it.

The weather is sunny and warm. I've given up on winter this year and am ready to embrace spring. So bring it on! No more bipolar stuff, okay?!

Isn't he cute?!

Good news:
  • Our tax return came today, earlier than expected! Yay! We can get our car fixed! So thankful for that!
  • We have found a church to attend and were invited to visit a small group on Tuesday.
  • John's training got cancelled today, so he has the day off. :)
  • Even though my hormones are psycho, God has given me peace about the future and I have a plan. He may choose to alter that plan, but His way is the best. So I want for myself whatever He sees fit.
  • I'm finally over the nausea and hoping to get back on track with everything.
Bad news:
  • Ever since I went to the doctor's my teeth have been hurting. I need to get my wisdom teeth pulled, but that will have to wait. Have you ever had something that you've become more aware of or wasn't thinking about it until the subject got brought up?
  • Family drama sucks. I can't get into details on here, but please pray. (And know that John and I are fine.)
  • I still haven't finished The Hunger Games. I'm hoping that me feeling better will help me finish it.

I'm so happy that the good news outweighs the bad though! :) I hope that you all are having a lovely day! Chat with you again next week! :)

Virtual Coffee: Valentines Edition

Hope you all had a lovely Valentines Day!

John works second shift, so he brought home breakfast from Chic-fil-a and I had sugar cookies and this ducky waiting for him.

So you are probably wondering, what's up with the duck? Well check out the message on the bottom.

I'm one lucky duck, I get to spend my life with you. Happy Valentines Day!

For more great ideas, that are similar check out: http://www.skiptomylou.org/category/valentines/

So what's up in The Leviner household?

Well I've been feeling rather blue lately. I feel like we got the short end of the stick with winter. I was really hoping for snow. We had our first chance for it yesterday, and it was too warm. :( We've also been dealing with our car being under the weather, needing, to get our taxes done, all the fun parts of being an adult.  This has caused me to put my Scentsy plans and some of our other plans on hold. :/

The good news is that despite all the blues/blahs, there are some good things ahead!

My family is coming up to visit next weekend. I'm really looking forward to their visit.

We have some great friends coming to visit in March, as well as a big wedding to attend.

and much more!

I'm still reading The Hunger Games. It's kinda sad, I love the book---but I'm taking forever to get through it!

I guess that's all for this week. (Sorry if I have come off as a Debbie Downer)

Virtual Coffee

So I woke this morning with a very sour stomach. If you were to eat with me this morning you would enjoy, saltines/peanut butter crackers and Sprite. Otherwise, I would have encouraged you to help yourself to my cabinets and fridge for something more tasty.

The good news the weather was finally gorgeous! We have had some very grey and gloomy days here. Sophie had not been to the park in over a week. She was so excited and jumping non-stop when we told her where we were going! Here's a few fun shots of our crazy girl:

So excited!

This dog is seriously drawn to water.

*PLOP* What a mess?!

*Today I finished reading Entwined by Heather Dixon. The book was okay. I enjoyed the idea of an updated version of The Twelve Dancing Princesses. It just didn't grip me as I had hoped it would. :/

* I am finally on the next to last lesson for my Medical Transcription program. I have one more document to transcribe, and I will be on to the final lesson. Thank goodness! Despite, the interruption of the holidays, I still feel the need for a break from it all.

* I need to start work on my grocery list.

* Cami and I are doing a fun blog swap. More details on that to come! :)

* John and I are still looking for a home church. If you pray, please do so for us. Thanks! :)

* Now I'm going to tackle those pesky dishes in the sink!

Virtual Coffee

So I was checking out some of my favorite blogs yesterday, and Ms. Lesley at Fabulously Flawed was participating in a fun link-up. :) So I thought I would join in on the fun!

This morning I made some delicious blueberry muffins (to share) and my drink of choice today was Simply Lemonade with Raspberry...oh so good! :)

So what's up in the Leviner household?

I've been trying to catch up on household chores. I hope I'm not the only one that struggles with that after the holidays? I thankfully, got caught up on the dishes and today will have a clothes folding party...wahooo! ;)

I've got a few more lessons to complete with my Medical Transcription program. I seriously HATE that stuff right now. So I'll be finishing that up soon...I hope and probably taking a break from that area of my life. It seems that every time I get to the end of a program, I end up loathing it. I sincerely hope that's normal!

I'm strongly considering selling Scentsy products, to make some extra income. I just made my first Scentsy purchase and can't wait to see how it works!

I have some Valentine's Day decorating ideas. I hope to be able to start on these soon. (Once I tackle this house)

So that's all for me this time! Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday! :)

Coffee and Conversation

So I was reading Psalm 63 this morning, while drinking a successful cup of coffee (yeah kind of a big deal for me;) Anyway, it got me thinking---a particular part, got me really thinking---"My soul clings to you." That part may bring comfort to some, but not for me...it kinda left me feeling excited and sad all at the same time...if that makes any sense at all...

It left me feeling sad because, I don't know if I've ever felt that way before. I don't know if I've ever felt that close to God. The good that came from this reading was the excitement I felt, I look forward to a deeper relationship with God. I hope that some day soon I can look forward to the quiet moments with God. I know I need Him...so why is it so easy to brush Him off? *sigh*
