Tasty Tuesday: Tavern Burgers

Hey guys,

Spring has arrived and with the above average temperatures, it seems like the perfect time to share a warm weather recipe.

Today's recipe is from "Crock Pot The Original Slow Cooker." It's three cookbooks in one and has recipes for chicken, 5 ingredients or less, and soups and stews.



You will need:

2 pounds lean ground beef (you can also use ground turkey)
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup mustard
Hamburger buns

First cook the beef in a medium skillet over medium high heat until no longer pink. Transfer the beef to the crock pot slow cooker.

Next add ketchup, sugar, and mustard to crock pot. Mix well. Cover and cook on Low 4 to 6 hours. Serve on buns.

Tip: For those who enjoy pork and beans, you can add that as well when mixing. I'm not a fan, so you guys will have to let me know how that tastes. ;)
