Pregnancy Highlights

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 22 weeks!

Size of baby:
your baby's the size of a papaya!

During month five, the average fetus measures about 10.5 to 11.8 inches and weighs about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces.

Baby Development This Week:

·         Now that he's got more developed eyes and lips, he's looking even more like a newborn.
·         He's sleeping in cycles -- about 12 to 14 hours per day (hint: they're probably those times you're not feeling any kicks!)

Maternity Clothes: Still in regular clothes and using belly band for jeans. (I’ve gone up a few bra sizes) I’m not able to wear my tennis shoes---because my feet are swelling, so I’ll need to get some slip on shoes for summer and I will also probably get a few maternity things this week.

Gender: IT’S A BOY! John Declan Leviner! He will be called Declan. Declan is of Irish origin and means full of goodness. J

Movement: He is becoming more and more active as the days go by!

Sleep: Some nights are better than others!

What I miss: I miss not feeling huge and slow. :/

Cravings: Mostly salty foods.

Symptoms: feet swelling, headaches, backaches, fatigued

Best Moment this week: My first Mother’s Day was wonderful! I got my first Mother’s Day cards, I have some goodies from John on the way, and just enjoyed spending the day with my wonderful family. J

  2. Keep an eye on his sleep cycles. He'll more than likely continue those even after he's born. So if he's kicking more at night than during the day, you're going to be in for some fun. ;)

  4. Soooo so happy for you. First pregnancy is so exciting. Feels like forever and I am sure you just can't wait to hold your little one. I used to sit in the middle of our finished nursery and close my eyes with my hands on my belly and try to envision what my little baby would look like and how I would rock him in this room.
    Precious times. Enjoy.
