Entering a New Season

Hey everyone,

This is yet another time where I have been hesitant to post. We have had a rough time the past couple of months and most people don't really want to read bad news. This is totally understandable, and yet, most people want the blogs they are reading to be genuine and honest. So here it goes.

Our apartment complex has given us a very hard time with everything involving the flood. If you haven't seen the pictures go here. We have had to repeatedly ask them for assistance in doing their job. It's beyond ridiculous and we have already made up our minds that we will be moving in November. I'm just so tired of begging for things that should just be common sense! We are doing our best to stay positive given the circumstances, but it is definitely a challenge. I'm just thankful that we don't have to wait too much longer to move. I don't know where we would go, but if we had the money, we would just move now. It is insane the penalties that are in place if you break a lease. Anyway, I'll keep you guys posted on the move and our upcoming plans with all of that.

I feel as though we are entering a new season in our lives. I feel change is in the air. I'm not a huge fan of change, but change can be good. I'm going to try to embrace it, the best that I can.

Please stay tuned for plenty of posts. I have a long list of them. Daring Girls series will return next Tuesday with a guest post from Victoria of Victoria Anne Photography.

Good thing our heavenly Father says 'give me your burdens and rest in my arms.' Hang in there Anna... saying a prayer for you today.

  3. Sometimes I don't mind change but most of the time is scares the crap out of me. With a baby on the way and different family things that have come up it's been a difficult time for me as well. I put in notice at my job (shhh it's a secret) and I'm terrified that bills won't get paid or I'll make one wrong purchase and screw everything up. I know it's tough but keep hanging in there. We're still praying for the Leviners :)

  5. That is awful, I'm glad you were at least able to salvage your things. I hope something good comes out of all this and you end up in a better place than you are now.

  6. A little over 9 years ago my husband and I went out on our first date. I don't really believe in fortune cookies (BUT!!) mine said, "The coming months will bring winds of change in your life." Boy, was that true! We were engaged two months later. Got married 2 months after that. I was married (to a farmer!!), moved to a new state, to a new home, got a new job, attended a new church, drove a new car. Everything was NEW! And it was all good!! God's plans are better than ours, and I am thankful.

    Hang in there!

  7. Have you been to your local government about your landlord? Here in Canada we have a law on the books that requires the landlord to provide proper shelter and can be charged under this act. Have you been to a lawyer (maybe pro bono) to help you as well? Wishing you the best of luck!
