Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 38 weeks!
Size of baby:
Your baby's
the size of a pumpkin!
Baby is about
18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds. His head is now
about the same circumference as his abdomen.
Baby
Development This Week:
·
He may have about an
inch or so of hair already.
·
He's slowly shedding
that white goo on his skin (called vernix caseosa) but you might see some of it
at birth.
Maternity Clothes: Regular shirts (shirts are getting a little small, thinking I
might need a couple of maternity shirts), stretchy capris/maternity bottoms.
Gender: IT’S A BOY! John Declan Leviner! He will
be called Declan. Declan is of Irish origin and means full of goodness. J
Movement: He feels
like he’s creeping across my belly. Despite the lack of room, he can be very
active!
Sleep: Some days are better than others!
What I miss: Just feeling
normal---not feeling huge and hot all the time!
Cravings: Just lots and lots of fluids.
Symptoms: heartburn,
harder to move around and lean over, backaches, fatigue, feet swelling, some nausea.
Best Moment this week: John reading to
Declan. It makes me so happy. I feel blessed to know that Declan has such an
amazing father. J Also have to mention that John's dad and step mom took us out for dinner and brought me my amazing glider rocker and ottoman. I'm in love! :)
Ahh can you believe we are both so close?!?! I cannot wait!!! I agree about the lack of room and still feelings tons of activity! It is pretty amazing! I can't wait to hold our little man!! we are all trying to guess when he will be here!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect time of year for him to be the size of a pumpkin! :) Excited for you!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch exciting time for you. I am sure the anticipation of when your baby is going to come is so overwhelming. My cousin went 2 days past her due date but gave birth with no complications. She had contractions for 2 days before they became regular enough to to go the hospital but there she was only in labor for 10.5 hours.
ReplyDeleteSo happy about the glider/ottoman. I had one and nursed my two kids on it. It was the best thing ever!
Daphne.
Yayy, getting so close!! :D You seem like like you are waiting so patiently, I wish I could do that!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting so excited to see those precious newborn pics. Hang in there girl, that precious little one will be in your arms before you know it.
ReplyDeleteAll the very best. Enjoy your time and can't wait to see the babe.
