My Top Guilty Pleasures

Hey Guys,

So I was browsing one of my most favorite blogs today, Miss Cami's. She had the coolest post up on her Top 10 Guilty Pleasures, and I hope she won't mind me sharing some of mine. ;)

My Top 7 Guilty Pleasures:
(In no particular order)

*Bubble baths- I don't get them very often, but when I do....it's heaven! (I'm sure I'll get them even less often once D is born...BUT it will make me appreciate them even more. ;)

*Soda- I know, I know. Soda is absolutely horrible for you. I'm guessing it's the flavor and practically being raised up on it. (If anyone has any suggestions on how to wean myself off, please share. I'm seriously wanting to get off after Declan is born. I want to lose weight and have some goals I'm brainstorming at the moment. Btw, I don't keep soda in the house. We do have some here now, but normally I get it when I go out.)

* My Grooveshark playlist(s)- I have one completely dedicated to soundtracks, which includes many, many, of my favorite musicals and songs from Glee! and The Voice. One of the others includes anything from BSB to Hootie and the Blowfish to The Rat Pack.

* Mani/pedis- I haven't had many opportunities to have this done professionally, so many are done at home. BUT they are always so relaxing.

* Desperate Housewives- Okay, I know what you are thinking...most people think this show is completely shallow and is completely about sex...but from episode 1 (I started watching on Netflix last year) I was hooked...the mystery, the women (Bree is my absolute favorite), the storylines are strong and keep you wanting more, and so much more.

*Retail Therapy- Like most girls, I love to shop. I can spend hours in stores (it's not always clothing stores, in fact, I hate some clothing shopping...like jeans...agh!) What makes it even better is when I have a coupon and a sale. :)

I don't consider myself a shopaholic, just love this movie. ;)

*Baking- There is something about baking, that relaxes me. I think it's because I love making others happy and it's a piece of myself that I can share with others.

So those are mine, feel free to comment and share! :)

  1. I'm right there with you on soda. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I have to have my caffeine in the morning! Shopping is one of my favorite activities too! What a fun post!

  2. Oooh, I have an empty blog head today and can't think of a post so I am totally stealin' this idea! Borrowing? Using?
Anyway....I get really calm when I bake, too. And I do my own pedicures. There's something about a stranger touching my feet that grosses me out.

  3. I might do a blog post on this soon. Thanks for sharing yours! and forgive me if I sound all mother-hen-ish but please think about giving up the soda NOW-- while you are carrying baby D-- not after he is born. :) ;)

  5. Mani-pedis and baking are totally on my list too! I'm not sure I even bother feeling guilty about them though...

I used to drink almost nothing else BUT soda. When I was a kid, it was pretty much all I drank - even in the morning. But then when I went to college, I discovered that all my roommates pretty much only drank this weird thing called "water." I jest, but actually the switch wasn't that hard. Maybe I was ready or something? Anyway, I find when water is just too boring, fruit juice, iced tea, or lemonade are all good alternatives. Or add a touch of lemon or lime to the water. Now I only drink soda on rare occasions (like when eating pizza or Mexican food and I get a craving for it - seriously maybe a handful of times a year).
