Weekend Roundup!

Hey everyone!

This weekend was pretty low key. It rained most of the time and is still doing so this morning. I hope the garden is appreciating all the water. (I’ll have a picture update once the rain has moved on and the area is drier.)

Hubby and I spent the weekend watching the second season of The Office on Netflix. This show has become a new addiction of mine and I’m really enjoying it. It’s scary how some of the characters remind me of people in my life…lol.

I also painted my nails. I’m not a pro, but what do you think?!

I had a second pic up of my feet, toes painted yellow kitty...but I don't like feet and decided to take it down.

Hubby and I also made a special treat from this month’s issue of All You, Peanut Butter Oat Bites.

Here's the recipe:

Ingredients

2 tbsp unsalted butter
2/3 cup creamy natural peanut butter
1/4 cup confectioner sugar
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups rice krispies cereal
1 cup quick oats
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup mini choc. chips
1/4 cup finely chopped lightly salted dry roasted peanuts

First you melt the butter in a med. saucepan over med. heat. Remove pan from heat, then stir in peanut butter, confectioners sugar, honey, and vanilla. Stir in Rice Krispies and oats. Allow mixture to cool.

Stir in raisins and chocolate chips. Form mixture into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in chopped peanuts, pressing to coat. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

We rounded out the weekend with some spring cleaning. So far the bathroom and living room are checked off. I’ll be working on the kitchen today and once hubby gets home going through clothes. If I start feeling extra ambitious, and finish the kitchen, I’ll begin with my clothes.

Since it’s raining, I’ll probably just wait for the hubs. Rainy days take the motivation right out of me. I usually enjoy watching a movie or reading, if I can. How do you feel about rainy days? What do you like to do?

I would be more intentional. I would embrace each moment and be more willing to look into every opportunity. I would probably be more fearless.

  1. Oh - those peanut butter balls are so similar to a drop oatmeal cookie my brother used to make. I remember coming into the kitchen and every counter space would be covered with wax paper & those cookies!!!!
