Hey guys,
So I said I would return to the blogging world in about a
month. I guess I came pretty close to keeping my word on that…lol. The truth
is, I miss blogging and with the holidays coming up, things are not going to
slow down…so what better time to get back to it, than the present?! Hehehe
present… didn't catch that before! ;)
If you didn't see my last post, my sweet baby boy is here!
He is the reason I've been away and he will be the reason, if there is any
slacking in my posts.
Since I've been gone, I have had a lot of time to think
about my priorities, my life, my goals, etc. I’m excited about where God is
taking me and my beautiful family. I feel truly blessed to be able to share
this journey with you all and to get to visit your blogs and get a look into
your lives. I’m truly amazed at the
wonderful people I've “met” through blogging. There are so many stories,
personalities, etc. to enjoy. Anyway, I just felt like giving all of my bloggy
friends some love. You are a part of the reason I blog and hearing from you all
truly brightens my day! J
This post may end up jumping around quite a bit. I feel like
there is so much to say and I won’t be able to fit it all in this one post, so
bear with me! ;) I've got a blog schedule set up for my posts, this will be a
guideline for me, but I will likely not always stick with it and if I’m having
a crazy day with Declan, I will likely miss posts. As I stated before, he will
take precedence over the blog…as I’m sure you would want me to feel that way…lol.
So here it goes, my tentative blog post schedule:
Monday: Musings---Whatever random thoughts, musings, etc. that
pop into my head throughout the previous week.
Tuesday: Tasty---Sharing recipes and linking up with my friend, Cami! J
Wednesday: Free write ---whatever I feel like writing that day.
Thursday: Thankful---another awesome link-up with Cami and other bloggers, where we talk
about what we are thankful for each week.
Friday: New Mommy Moments---I share a story or update on Declan from the
week.
So now that the business side of things is taken care of, I’d
love to share with you a bit about Declan. He seems to be a very alert and
mostly peaceful child. He seems to be at his worst or most unhappy around 2 pm
He gets very agitated around that time and its best that he is napping then or
you will surely witness a very unhappy camper. He sleeps pretty well at night.
I usually get a couple of hours of sleep before he is up and ready for a
feeding. I’m breastfeeding by the way, which is an added challenge in and of itself.
(This added to my recovery stuff. I had to have five stitches because of a tear.)
I truly believe that once I have my postpartum appointment, things will be a
little easier. I’m off most of my pain meds now and I have been able to get out
of the house some and even take my first walk, so I’m very excited for November
6! J That is when my
postpartum appointment will take place and hopefully, I will get the green
light to get back to my normal activities. I will have to learn a new normal,
which I’m slowly coming into. I feel so proud of John and I. I feel like we
have come so far and we are learning so much. Declan has really taught us a lot
already and I look forward to learning even more.
I promised I wouldn't write a novel, so I’ll end today’s
post with a few pics of Declan.
D wearing his Catawba Valley Medical Center shirt. This is one of the latest pics of him. |
Passed out after a feeding...lol. |
Precious boy...its amazing the differences in these pictures! |

PS. Do any of you know if there is a way to get your blog posts to automatically post to your fb page or if you have to just do it manually? Thanks!
PPS. Sorry for all the extra space between pictures, I couldn't get blogger to listen to me today. :/
Anna, I think if you join Networked Blogs it will auto post to Facebook when ever you put a new blog post up. I just joined Network Blogs this past week and it auto posted both to Twitter and FB. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baby-- beautiful pix.
Welcome back! So happy to "meet" Declan. Isn't being a mommy the best job ever? He is precious!
ReplyDeleteHe is so precious. Hang in there. Adjusting to motherhood and having your entire life change takes time. You guys seem to be doing great. Breastfeeding is a challenge but it gets easier as you and the baby learn and get better.
ReplyDeleteYour new schedule sounds great. Looking forward to hearing your updates.
Daphne.
Congrats and welcome back. Declan is adorable.
ReplyDeleteHe is seriously adorable!! Glad you seem to be taking this parenting thing so easily, it's seriously the best gift ever.
ReplyDeleteAww, he is just so adorable. :) I hope everything is still going well. And don't worry, the breastfeeding gets easier, you'll both be naturals before you know it!
