Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was pretty laid back compared to the rest of the summer...thank goodness! I don't know about the rest of you, but this has been one busy summer for our family.
Friday: I spent most of the evening catching up on school work. I took my final test for the Medical Term part. Tonight I will be starting the Transcription part. I'm pretty excited about getting into something new!
Saturday: It was a pretty miserable day. My allergies were acting up...so I didn't get much done. (I didn't feel too bad the previous night I had canned apple filling and pickles..so that helped me not to beat up myself too bad)
Sunday: John and I went to church. It felt good to be back. One of my goals is to really get plugged in at this church and stretch myself out of this shell. After lunch we grabbed a bite to eat and then relaxed for awhile. We then checked out some houses for rent in the area.
John and I made a big decision yesterday. We have decided to move at the beginning of next year. (I know this isn't surprising) The thing is though, John will be applying for jobs in the areas we are interested. (areas I previously mentioned NC, TN, etc) We decided that regardless of if we get any bites, we will be moving to a nearby area in Athens... preferably on the outskirts of town. I would like the place to have a bigger kitchen and a fenced in yard for Sophie. This was a big decision, because I've had my heart set on moving (out of state) for a long time now. I still hope to move and if it's in God's time we will next year. If not, I will continue to wait. I think moving in general will be good for me. Another reason, I know this is the right decision for us is because the peace I feel about it. I also know because John told me that he had been thinking about us staying in the area longer. Right now he would be staying the minimum 3 years, if we stayed 2 more so he could get 5 and work on some certifications he needs, who knows what great prospects could come in for him?! So God is really working on me in this situation. I just pray that I can remain patient and keep trusting in Him.
After we viewed the rental properties, we met my friend, Whit in Atlanta. We had tickets to The Shakespeare Tavern's The Taming of the Shrew. It was wonderful and fun as always. We even got there early enough to get dinner. I had the ratatouille with polenta squares and a salad...it was delicious...add a cheesecake brownie for dessert and I was in heaven! :) It was a great way to end the weekend!
Today my allergies are acting up again...so if this entry is a bit loopy, my apologies. Some things that brightened my day:
My sweet, funny husband
My cute puppy
I got my super cute bracelet from Lesley at http://sofabulouslyflawed.blogspot.com/ I can't wait to show it off! If you haven't, you should definitely check out her blog and Etsy shop. She is very creative and a sweet heart on top of that! :)
How was your weekend? What's brightening your day?
