The Plan

This is sort of a follow-up to the school post. I've decided to wait on school for now. I feel very strongly that I need to write. I've thought about freelance writing before, but just never committed to it. I'm now determined to get a portfolio together and do what I really love. I'll keep everyone posted on how that goes. I'm happy that I can be excited about something, job related...again. Wish me luck! :)

***Also I've been feeling very crafty lately, so I'll have a post up soon with all my crafts/decorations.***

  1. Hey dear! Sorry it's taken forever for me to reply but school is kicking my butt with how busy it's kept me. I swear they've saved all the crazy amount of work for my last semester. It's horrid! :(

ANYWAY! I agree with John completely regarding you doing what you love (the writing combined with the history). I've been reading a lot of articles lately saying that education/college is pretty much a waste right now because of the economy, the amount of debt a student could incur, etc. I think you should do exactly what you said you want to - focus on your freelance! You have a great way with words and honestly, I think you have an easier time putting down into words how you feel rather than vocalizing it (verbally). You have a way with writing and I think you should pursue that avenue if that's what brings you joy and is a release for you!

Lately I've been struggling a good amount with what I'm going to do after graduation and have come to this conclusion: I'm going to do whatever makes me happy! I don't care anymore if it makes sense to other people because frankly, this life is mine and mine alone to live. Strive for your dreams. Do what makes YOU happy. You have the full support of your husband so even if no one else gets it, you know he does and he wants you to pursue your passion. That's beautiful! Run with it. Life your live. Make yourself happy and surround yourself with all that brings you joy. Go for it! :D

    Love and miss you lots!

  2. Thanks for the encouragement. I feel like I've spent a lot of time running from writing because it wasn't practical or wouldn't look right to some people. It isn't worth it though. It's my life and I might as well enjoy it. I have to live with me and poor John does too...lol.

I'm excited, I'm going to sit down today and schedule in some time to write each day. I can't wait to see what comes of it.

I love and miss you too. I can't wait to see where God takes you. I hope we can get together before you move back up north. (who knows we may end up there one day;)
